Whether you are a beginner interested in creating your own jewelry or an experienced designer looking to refine your skills, BG Art Studio offers you the ideal environment. Our Studio Wax Class is equipped with all necessary tools and machines to build, shape and refine your projects from jewelry to table top, from sculptures to accessories – wax carving offers the perfect medium to create and learn.
Just steps away from all the suppliers, casters, stone dealers, setters and polishers, BG Art Studio offers the perfect combination of location and environment to make your ideas come alive!
Creating jewelry through wax carving allows you to make pretty much whatever you want much easier, faster, cheaper and healthier comparing to working with just metal.
Classes are structured loosely – for all skill levels and each member works on pieces of their own design. Projects typically are started from a conversation with Boris, and techniques are demonstrated as needed. Group demonstrations are given biweekly to supplement individual instruction in design, wax modeling, fabrication, finishing and stone setting. With small class sizes there is a maximum of on-on-one teaching. Students will experience the entire process of Jewelry Design, from rough ideas to finished wearable pieces.
Located in the heart of the jewelry district, the light filled studio with new benches, flex shafts and other fixtures provides a relaxed environment where students work independently on their projects. Classes are kept to a small size to allow ample attention and help foster a creative, collaborative environment. In addition to personal attention, demonstrations are given on a regular basis to show or refresh various techniques. In addition to the class time, bench time is available and Industry experts, from casters to gem & stone dealers, will come by the studio to offer additional insights and access to materials.
In addition to wax carving other workshops will be offered this year
Details will be announced on a board.
